Man Faces Charges for Allegedly Raiding Neighbor's Fridge

A Naples, Florida, man faces burglary and theft charges after allegedly raiding his neighbor's refrigerator on New Year's Eve.

The Naples Daily News reports deputies were called to a home at about 1:45 a.m. Friday after residents found Kent Carr, 48, sleeping in the guest bedroom.

The homeowners said that Carr, later identified as their neighbor, was not responding coherently to questions.

Deputies found an egg, a stick of butter and a pickle jar on the kitchen counter along with a gallon of milk that had been left out with the lid off.

The wandering neighbor has been charged with burglary of an unoccupied dwelling and petit theft. Jail records indicated he was not in custody on Sunday night, but did not list attorney information for Carr.
