(NECN: Tom Langford) - You may remember Munchkin the Pug. We first showed her to you last week at the Boston Animal Rescue League… where she was up for adoption.
Munchkin needs some special care because she has a spinal condition that renders her back legs useless. Well, it didn't take long for her to find a new home.
"It was just love at first sight, huh little munch?" Stephanie Tilton and Paula Blanchard from Littleton, Massachusetts are adopting Munchkin. They say, when they saw her on the news, they fell in love with her tenacity.
"How she acts like a big dog and the wheels don't get in her way and she's going to make it work," said Blanchard.
"You can't not watch that clip and be in awe and amazed," said Tilton. "And she just draws you in, she clearly has a big personality."
And she has a lot of energy. But Paula and Stephanie say, they're ready for the challenge.
"We've got a whole community of people in Littleton who are ready to meet her with open arms," said Tilton.
"I think we can give her the extra care she needs and really work with her to do that," said Blanchard. "We have a handyman to come that's going to put ramps in the house, so she'll be set."
So after a lesson on how to use her custom-made wheels, Munchkin was headed out the door.
A happy ending for the little pug that could.
