(NECN: Katie Daly) - UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester has come up with a new tool designed to get diabetes patients to better manage their symptoms with the use of a scorecard.

The scorecard was created by doctor David Harlan, and tracks everything from weight, average blood sugar levels and provides a print out of graphs and charts of where levels are and should be. It is all done electronically through UMass Memorial's medical record system.
