(NECN/CSNNE: Jess Moran) - Despite all of the snow on the ground, New Englanders are getting a burst of spring with the Red Sox taking to the field in Fort Myers for spring training.

Pitchers and catchers have already gotten started.

Though position players aren't due in until Thursday, Dustin Pedroia, Jacoby Ellsbury, and Mike Napoli are among several players who have reported to camp early.

The first full-squad workout is scheduled for Friday.

Comcast SportsNet New England's Jess Moran has more on the action live in Florida.
