LAURA BEHNKE
Laura Behnke joined NECN as a sports reporter. Coming from WISC-TV, the CBS television station in Wisconsin's capital city of Madison, Behnke served as a sports reporter and fill-in anchor for more than two years. Before joining WISC-TV, she was a one-man-band reporter and photographer for WJFW-TV in Wausau/Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in journalism.





CHRIS COLLINS
Chris Collins is the principal sports anchor for NECN and host of Sports LateNight with Chris Collins. A native of Peabody, Massachusetts, Collins graduated from Temple University where he played baseball. He began his career at KALB-TV (NBC) in Alexandria, LA before moving on to WDJT-TV (CBS) in Milwaukee as a sports anchor. Joining NECN in 1998 as a weekend sports anchor, Collins is known for his exclusive live interviews and has earned national recognition for breaking several high-profile stories. He has been recognized by the Associated Press and his show, Sports LateNight, was recently nominated for a New England Emmy Award. Collins was one of only two Boston sportscasters to predict the final score of the Patriots Super Bowl win in 2002. Collins writes a regular column for the Improper Bostonian and devotes considerable time to local community charities. He recently partnered with Patriot Rodney Harrison and the Massachusetts State Police on their "Stop the Violence" campaign.


MIKE GIARDI
Mike Giardi is NECN’s weekend sports anchor and weekend host of Sports LateNight with Mike Giardi. A Norwood, MA native, Giardi began his career in journalism as the Sports Editor at the Falmouth Enterprise Publishing Company on Cape Cod immediately after graduating with a degree in English Literature from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Giardi went on to earn a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Boston University, before joining WIVT-TV in Binghamton, New York. There he served as Sports Director and Lead Sports Anchor. He joined NECN in 2000 as a Sports Reporter.
