separate, brutal attacks.
In Boston, police say two men were attacked by a man with a
hatchet after arguing with him while they were drinking. Police
said both were in stable condition with head wounds and a suspect
was at large Saturday.
In Springfield, a 20-year-old man was arrested after allegedly
kicking a man's face repeatedly with steel-toed boots.
Police say the 33-year-old victim was found in a pool of blood
early Saturday after three men knocked him down and one kicked him,

Top Stories | Politics (NECN: Josh Brogadir) - Today, Senate Democrats hit the magic number 60, and will move ahead to debate the historic health care legislation.
The formal vote will be held at eight o'clock.
Five and a half hours before the 8 o'clock procedural vote, Arkansas Senator Blanche Lincoln, the lone Democratic holdout, announced she would join her party's ranks.
Her "yes" vote, gives the Democrats the 60 votes needed to prevent a Republican filibuster and move the bill to the floor.

Top Stories | Health (NECN: Jeff Saperstone, Boston, Mass.) - On Friday, health officials announced that two more Massachusetts residents had died from complications of the swine flu. Today, a health center in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood was busy with people hoping to get vaccinated.
Because of a limited supply, only high-risk individuals were offered the shot.
They lined up early outside the Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester to get their H1N1 vaccine.
Like most of the previous clinics - this one was geared towards at risk groups. Oren McBee's wife is eight months pregnant.

Top Stories | World (NECN/APTV: Kabul, Afghanistan) - A rocket landed outside the luxury Serena Hotel in Afghanistan's capital Kabul late on Saturday, wounding two people, the Interior Ministry said.
The heavily guarded hotel regularly houses visiting diplomats, officials and international workers. It has been the target of attacks before, most recently in late October when a rocket slammed into a courtyard.

Top Stories | New England LEWISTON, Maine (AP) - State police say a high-speed chase on
the Maine Turnpike ended when the car they were chasing crashed and
burst into flames, killing the driver.
On Friday, the Maine State Police identified the driver as Luis
Andrades-Garcia of Portland. His age was not provided.
According to police, a trooper began chasing the car that
belonged to a friend of Andrades-Garcia at around 7:30 p.m.
Thursday after getting reports of an erratic driver on the
turnpike. They say the car was speeding over 100 mph, and crashed
