Chilly Weekend Ahead For New England

Saturday looks to be the more pleasant of the two weekend days, especially for southern New England

We "fall back" early Sunday morning and so do the temperatures this weekend.

Saturday looks to be the more pleasant of the two weekend days, especially for southern New England. More sunshine than clouds for Saturday with highs into the lower 50s, similar to Friday. Plus, sunset will be at 5:32pm.

With Daylight Saving Time ending, we gain an extra hour of sleep when the clocks turn back one-hour at 2AM, but that one hour is lost at sunset. Sunday evening’s sunset is 4:31pm. By Election Day on Tuesday, the sunset is before 4:30pm.

As far as the forecast, we finally fall closer to normal temperatures this weekend. Sunday will feel cooler than Saturday as more clouds move in and those calm conditions turn breezy by the afternoon.

Monday is also included in the cooling trend before we see another midweek warm-up, this time just in time for Election Day. So, even though the sunset seems to be earlier with each passing day, at least we’ll see high temperatures reach into the lower 60s while you’re on your way to cast your vote on Tuesday.
