For the time-being, New England continues to enjoy pleasant summer weather, but changes are ahead.

As the week progresses, New England will inch ever closer to an active jet stream wind flow aloft, and a coincident surface frontal boundary separating cool from warm air – and while a break in the action is expected for most on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday are likely to bring rain and showers, respectively, as small waves of low pressure ride along the nearby front.
Conditions are expected to improve for the weekend before a renewed chance of thunder toward the end of the exclusive 10-day forecast.
