Nor'easter Pounds Coastal New England

Scituate Harbor in Massachusetts was struck by high winds, rain and snow.

The ocean outside Scituate Harbor in Massachusetts kicked up a storm in the wake of high winds, rain and snow.

Big, orange pieces of heavy equipment were out, clearing flooded streets after high tide had receded.

Snow started falling in Norwell and all over the South Shore by mid-morning, coating the Halloween leftovers.

The same went for the Sagamore Bridge. Cape Cod saw some of the most action from this coastal storm.

High winds down trees and power lines, knocking out electricity to hundreds in Southeastern Massachusetts.

Overnight is when the most damage occurred, all of it minor. A tree toppled in Marshfield, hitting a house. It happened in Plymouth, too. And, of course, there were flooded parking lots, marking the start of the winter storm season.

Late Sunday afternoon, the waves along Peggity Beach were still pretty impressive.

Back in Scituate, the owner of a boat was plotting his next move after it was blown from its mooring by high winds.
