Storms, Some Severe

Thunderstorms this afternoon were very hit or miss, but the ones that did develop turned strong to severe. Trees and wires were down in Taunton and Middleboro. At one point over 1000 customers or left without power. Those thunderstorms also produced locally heavy rainfall with up to an inch of rain falling in 20 minutes.

Monday will bring our next chance for showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms will likely be strong to severe during the afternoon in the mountains and during the evening for the coast. Heavy rain and gusty winds are both possible with thunderstorms that develop.

The heat will be the other big story on Monday with high temperatures reaching the middle 90s and it will feel like it's close to 100. After the storms clear out we look forward to much more refreshing air for Tuesday and Wednesday. High temperatures will be in the low 80s with low levels of humidity.

We have another chance that he wave by the end of the weekend it's next weekend with high temperatures reaching the low to mid 90s. Don't expect much wet weather we should be dry through Sunday.
