Sunshine Today, Rain Tomorrow

Any rain in southeastern New England should be done by noon, if not sooner

It's a rather gray start to our Wednesday, but sunshine will increase from northwest to southeast as the day goes on.

Any rain in southeastern New England should be done by noon, if not sooner. High temperature in the 70s inland, 60s at the shore with light wind, and local sea breezes.

Tomorrow we start off cloudy and rain is expected to advance from southwest to northeast through the morning into the afternoon.

Low pressure over Indiana may combine with low pressure forming south of Long Island, to generate a minor to moderate nor'easter later tomorrow and Friday.

Rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches is expected, with temperatures falling into the 50s for tomorrow afternoon and into much of Friday.

Wind at the shore may near gale force, with astronomically high tides, we may experience some coastal erosion and minor coastal flooding at times of high tide late at night, and in the early afternoon.

If all goes according to plan, the low-pressure systems will combine and move away for a nice Saturday, with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs near 70°.

However the gradient between warm and humid weather in the southeast, and cooler air from Canada, may join to bring us another round of showers later Sunday into Monday.

It's still too early to call, but it looks like any rain would be fairly light, and perhaps mostly on Sunday night, allowing for mostly dry Sunday and Monday with temperatures in the 60s to near 70°.

We'll keep you posted.
