Alex Losing Steam, But South Texas Still Being Pounded

(NECN/CNN: South Padre Island, Texas) - Although it has been downgraded to a tropcial storm, Alex continues to pound South Padre Island, Texas.

There is concern this morning that the storm will lead to flooding, mudslides, and as many as six tornadoes were reported in the area.

There are also fears that the storm will also impede cleanup of the Gulf oil spill. Samantha Hayes of CNN has the story.
