Chinese Tourists Missing After Typhoon Hits Taiwan

(NECN/CCTV: Southeast, China) - 19 Chinese tourists are missing after Typhoon Megi hit Taiwan. Two buses carrying Chinese tourists were on a six-mile stretch of a coastal highway in Ilan county.

Nine other people are missing after mudslides buried a temple.

Megi killed 26 people in the northern Philippines earlier this week. The storm forced 55,000 Filipinos from their homes and caused about $175 million worth of damage to infrastructure and crops.
