Cleanup Crews Ready to Fight the Storm

(NECN: Scot Yount: Chelsea, Mass., and Tim Kelley) - NECN meteorologist Tim Kelley says a major nor'easter will bring record-breaking snow to many areas of New England, mostly central and western, with heavy rains expected in coastal areas.

The storm is expected to be at its height between 10 p.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday, with blizzard conditions possible at times.

He advises motorists to stay off the roads if at all possible tonight.

Meanwhile, Scot Yount reports municipal and state public works departments, as well as the snow plowers at Boston's Logan Airport, are getting ready for a snowstorm that is estimated to dump up to a foot of snow in some sections of central and western New England.
