Coast of Maine Getting Pummeled by Snow

(NECN: Amy Sinclair) - The snow has been cranking up all along the coast of Maine. The snow reached the state a little later than the rest of the New England, so residents up north have a long evening ahead.

The last time there was a big snow storm in Maine before Christmas, it didn't pile up on the ground as much because the snow blew it around. But this time, the snow is much wetter and heavier, and it continues to stack up high, at around an inch an hour.

Central Maine Power says there have been some power outages, mostly around York County, but there's sure to be more before the storm is done pulling away from the coast.
