    (NECN) - Gov. Dannel Malloy said the state government of Connecticut is taking every possible precaution to minimize the effects of Hurricane Irene.

    He acknowledge that after the storm starts late Saturday and into Sunday, there will be little the state can do beyond helping those who are affected by what is expected to be a major hurricane.
