Crews Work to Restore Power in Mass.

(NECN) - Wednesday morning marked the fifth consecutive day of no power and no heat for more than 5,100 homes and businesses across the state of Massachusetts.

In Marshfield, crews worked overnight, trying to restore power to the town.

At last check, about 650 homes were without power. Those customers were told it may be until Thursday night until the lights come back on.

In Duxbury, nearly 150 homes and businesses were still in the dark on Wednesday morning.

Complete restoration was not expected there until Thursday.

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick said the utility companies have been making progress, but also understands the frustration as people wait for the power to come back on.
