Driver Rescued From Flood Waters in Vt.

(NECN) - A corporal with a sheriff's office and a nearby resident helped rescue a female driver from a truck in rising flood waters in Montgomery, Vt. Tuesday.

Vermont State Police, Franklin County Sheriff's Office and other officials responded to a report of an occupied truck on the flooded road.

According to state police, Corporal McKenny of the sheriff's office and neighbor Stanley Longley saw that the female driver was trapped.

Longley drove McKenny in his farm tractor to the edge of the water and the corporal broke a window to rescue the driver, who was not seriously injured.
