    Just one day after the National Weather Service confirmed four New England
    tornadoes
    - three in Maine and one in Connecticut, a fifth has been confirmed
    following damage surveys by the National Weather Service meteorologists. The

    A NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TEAM SURVEYED DAMAGE IN LITCHFIELD COUNTY
    FROM SUPERCELLS THAT CROSSED THE COUNTY DURING THE AFTERNOON OF
    JULY 21 2010. THE SUPERCELL PRODUCED INTERMITTENT DAMAGE ALONG
    A TRACK FROM SHARON TO TERRYVILLE. STRAIGHT LINE WINDS WERE
    VERIFIED FROM SHARON TO LITCHFIELD. BRIEF TORNADIC TOUCHDOWNS
    WERE CONFIRMED IN EAST LITCHFIELD...THOMASTON...AND TERRYVILLE.
    DAMAGE WAS MAINLY TO HARDWOOD AND SOFTWOOD TREES. THERE WAS LITTLE
    EVIDENCE OF DIRECT STRUCTURAL DAMAGE. NO INJURIES OR FATALITIES WERE
    REPORTED.

    EF0...WIND SPEEDS 65 TO 85 MPH.
    EF1...WIND SPEEDS 86 TO 110 MPH.
