Fires Rip Through Dozens of Detroit Homes

(NECN/WDIV) - Fires swept through dozens of homes in at least three neighborhoods Tuesday night in Detroit.

No injuries have been reported; fire authorities are investigating.

The fires were fanned by wind gusts of up to 50 mph, which also knocked out power for at least 124,000 customers.

DTE Energy Co. is investigating possible links between its power lines and the fires. 15,000 DTE customers have no power; 50,000 had lost service.

CMS Energy Corp. says about 9,800 customers are still blacked out after 74,000 lost power.
