Fires, Flooding, Storms Hit Parts of U.S.

(NECN/CNN) - From flooding in Ohio to fires in Texas to severe thunderstorms heading up the East Coast, the U.S. has been hit hard with severe weather -- and, it's not done yet.

In West Texas, fire officials say strong winds damaged power lines, which sparked wildfires. More than 100,000 acres and at least 60 homes have been burned in Lubbock and Matador, where residents were evacuated.

Heavy rains and tornado watches and warnings have been posted for Tennessee.
