(NECN: Tom Langford, Revere, Mass.) - Much of New England hit record high temps over the weekend, and the warm streak continued into Columbus Day.
With many enjoying the holiday out of work, NECN reporter Tom Langford went to Revere Beach to see how people were spending the sunny October day.
"Enjoy it... you won't see it for another six, seven months, you know? This is about as good as it's going to get," said one passerby.
It may not be the typical autumn weather, but it's making a lot of people smile on their day off.
"I think it's great, I wish it would last forever," said one woman.
On Sunday, beach officials said the beaches were packed with people taking advantage of the warm weather.
