(NECN: Jennifer Eagan, Charlton, Mass.) - Portions of Central and Western Massachusetts got slammed with heavy, slushy snow overnight into this morning.
The National Weather Service on Wednesday issued a winter storm
warning for much of the state, with accumulations of up to six
inches expected in areas of Worcester County and more in higher
elevations of Berkshire County.
Thousands of power outages have been reported, mostly at higher elevations.
State police were warning motorists to slow down, while dozens of schools canceled classes for the day.
