Heavy Snow, Winds Hit Mass. Municipalities During Storm

(NECN: John Moroney, Gloucester, Mass.) - Conditions in Gloucester are rapidly declining. Snow is falling steadily, winds are ramping up and it's frigid.

Few cars are out and the snow is sticking to the roads. Snow plows are working diligently to keep pace with the rapid snow accumulation.

Many folks up in Gloucester are used to such weather. "This winter has been more snow then we've had. We haven't made out that bad. We've probably gotten less than inland," said one Gloucester native.

It's difficult to say how much snow has actually fallen because it's wet and heavy. 8 to 12 inches are expected.
