High Winds Rip Section of Roof Off Watertown, Mass. Condo

(NECN: Watertown, Mass.) -  A Watertown, Massachusetts condominium complex suffered significant damage Sunday afternoon when a severe storm ripped a 30-foot section of roof off the building, blowing it onto the nearby Mount Auburn Tennis Club. An NECN viewer submitted the photos of the damage from a deck on an upper floor of the Horizon East complex on Coolidge Avenue.

Damage is being reported in a swath from Worcester County eastward to the greater Boston area, with dozens of trees reported down in Lynn, and significant damage to cars from falling trees and limbs in Boston and Brookline. Lightning may alo be to blame for a 2-alarm house fire in Melrose, Massachusetts.
