Homeland Security Secretary Tours Flooded Nashville

(NECN/WSMV: Nashville, TN) - Floodwaters are finally receding, but they've left behind a huge mess in Nashville.

More than 13 inches of rain in just two days last weekend inundated entire neighborhoods.

Nine people in the city are reported drowned.

At least two-thousand homes have been damaged or destroyed.

Thousands of people have had to evacuate.

Damage is estimated at one-and-a-half billion dollars.

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano toured the area Saturday.
