(NECN) - The first hurricane to seriously threaten the U.S. In almost three years is expected to grow stronger in the next 48 hours. Right now, the category 2 storm is packing a punch in the Caribbean with wind gusts of 100 mph. Forecasters believe its current track will mean it will make landfall in the Carolinas by late Saturday.
