(NECN/KWTV/AP) - Officials have been going door-to-door in
one Oklahoma City neighborhood, asking people to leave their homes
while inspectors look at a nearby dam.
Officials say rising water has been creeping toward the top of
the dam, as the city gets anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of rain an
hour.
It brought flash flooding across the Oklahoma city area,
stranding motorists on their morning commutes. Three interstate
highways were closed, and there were at least a half-dozen rescues.
In this video, you can see a young woman attempting to swim to safety, clinging on to trees.
