(NECN) - MassDOT officials say New England will see "a significant storm" Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning.
Officials say they expect it to be a relatively dry snow because of the cold temperatures, which will make it easy to plow and shovel.
Because of expected blizzard conditions overnight, MassDOT recommends people staying off the roads.
MassDOT has already opened up HOV lanes, which will be open through 7 p.m. Tuesday; however, the lanes will be closed during Wednesday morning's commute.
"It will be very difficult" MassDOT Highway Administrator Frank DePaola says about Wednesday's morning commute.
