(NECN) - Another winter storm is making way through New England and is bringing heavy snow with it.
Frank DePaola of MassDOT joined us over the phone to discuss conditions on the roads.
He said that pretreatment of the roads is having a positive impact because it prevents the pavement surface from forming ice.
“If they drive slowly and carefully they should be able to move safely as we work on trying to clear the snow off the roads,” said DePaola.
He said as many people as possible need to stay off the roads.
He said the budget has been exceeded for the snow and ice item for this season.
