Mass. Schools Remain Open Despite Snow

(NECN: John Moroney  School's out at the Hopedale Elementary School in Taunton, Mass., after the kids spent their first real snow day in the classroom.

It also gave parents a break from having them at home, despite earlier concerns about snow or ice.

There were no major problems during the storm. There had been concerns about getting the children home after everything was said and done, but the buses were on time and ready to roll at 3:15 p.m.

It was a mixed bag south of Boston when it came to snow. Route 1 in Foxboro Tuesday morning was snowy, but it dried up quickly.

The other concern was ice. No one knows that better than the people who drive children back and forth to school in all kinds of weather.
