(NECN: Melissa Toupin, Worcester, Mass.) - It was a messy day to be driving anywhere in New England. Snow and freezing rain made for slick driving conditions. Tonight, there is concern about ice, as much of the water on the roads refreezes.
There were multiple accidents on I-290. During the morning commute, a tractor-trailer jackknifed on the Mass Pike, ending up on both sides of the median. Nobody was hurt, but the truck carrying bags of corn meal slowed traffic.
