(NECN) - More than 50 wildfires are burning out of control across the western U.S.
A state of emergency has been declared in Montana, where there are 19 active fires.
California's governor is also being urged to declare a state of emergency.
But things are looking up for firefighters in Idaho. The Beaver Creek fire is now 47 percent contained and evacuation orders have been lifted for hundreds of homes.
