NHDOT Spokesman: Some Damage Areas May Require More Long-term Fix

(NECN) – There’s some big clean-up Wednesday in parts of New Hampshire. Heavy rains in the Lebanon area caused major flash flooding Tuesday night, cutting water and power in some areas.

The Red Cross has now opened a shelter at the Lebanon High School on Hanover Street.

Tuesday night, several people had to evacuate when nearly 60 roads were washed out. Slayton Hill Road is still heavily damaged.

Bill Boynton from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) is on the phone to discuss cleanup progress.
