At least 65 people are confirmed dead, but the death toll is most definitely expected to rise as rescuers continue to search through the rubble.

At least 100 people are reported missing.

Tuesday's magnitude-6.3 quake was centered about three miles from the populated New Zealand city of Christchurch.
