NSTAR: ‘We're Going to Get People Restored by Thursday Night'

(NECN) - In southern New England, more than 135,000 are still without power after a blizzard dumped as much as 40 inches in some areas.

More than 115,000 of those without power are in Massachusetts.

Utility company NSTAR held a press conference Monday afternoon to update communities about their power restoration efforts. NSTAR reported more than 88,000 outages as of 4 p.m. Monday.

Craig Hallstrom of NSTAR said that the utility company restored nearly 100,000 customers on Sunday and that "we have a lot of people on the ground, we're working very hard."

"We're going to get people restored by Thursday night."
