HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — A storm that brought lightning, heavy rain and gusty winds to Connecticut has left nearly 6,000 utility customers without power.
Connecticut Light & Power is reporting 5,700 outages early Wednesday, more than 3,000 of them in New Milford. United Illuminating has no outages.
The Pomperaug Region 15 School District, which includes Southbury and Middlebury, has canceled classes on Wednesday because of power outages and potentially unsafe road conditions.For up-to-the-minute news and weather, be sure to
