(NECN/CNN/Helinet) - Mitch Landrieu, the Mayor of New Orleans, says the city is safe from flooding.
Landrieu tells CBS' "The Early Show" that it is still, however, a very dangerous situation.
Meanwhile, the bloated river is expected to reach a near record crest in Greenville, Mississippi on Tuesday. By the weekend, floodwaters are forecast to peak near record levels across Louisiana and Mississippi.
