Parts of Scituate, Mass. Still Flooded as Storm Tapers

(NECN: Jennifer Eagan, Scituate, Mass.) - While the North Shore of Massachusetts has seen severe property damage, the state's South Shore was also battered Friday.

Scituate, Mass. has seen flooding along the coast in several storms this winter. The snow has turned to rain and the storm seems to be winding down, but the night's high tide has yet to come.

Several parts of the town are still experiencing lingering effects of the morning's high tide. Hours later, areas along the coast remain covered after a few feet of icy ocean water swallowed up streets and backyards.

Although Friday's floods were significant, Town Administrator Patricia Vinchesi believes the flooding was less severe than in other recent storms.
