Plum Island Braces for Next Storm

(NECN: John Moroney) - It is not as large of a concern as the last storm was for Plum Island, Mass., but crews are still preparing while cleaning up the existing damage.

Parts of Plum Island look like a construction site with crews working to shore up beachfront homes while people watch and wait for another winter storm.

This storm is not supposed to be as damaging as the last one, when several homes toppled into the ocean and dozens of others were threatened.

The work is expected to continue right up until the start of the storm. High tide will arrive at 5 p.m. Monday and 5 a.m. Tuesday.
