(NECN) - Rhode Island is the latest New England state dealing with a salt shortage.
Officials with the Department of Transportation say there's only 800 tons of salt left at its facility.
That's less than half of what's typically stored there.
Unfortunately, this week's delivery has been delayed until March 1.
Earlier this month, Connecticut Governor Dan Malloy declared a state of emergency due to a salt shortage.
