(NECN: Tim Kelley, Scituate, Mass.) - High waves are battering communities up and down the eastern coast of Massachusetts this moning, as storm surges overtopped sea walls and sent flood waters into the streets. In Scituate, Mass., meteorologist Tim Kelley sent in video of water flooding streets and stores. In other communities, such as Winthrop, Mass., significant street flooding has also been reported, although there have been no evacuations.
And in Quincy, Mass., there were evacuations in the Hough's Neck section of the city at the time of high tie, with a number of roads becoming impassible.
About a half-dozen homes were evacuated.
