Raw Video: Tuscaloosa, Alabama Turned to Rubble

(NECN/CNN) - After widespread damage, parts of Tuscaloosa, Alabama are completely unrecognizable. At least one strong tornado swept through the city, destroying entire blocks while killing dozens.

The University of Alabama escaped mostly untouched, but some students living off-campus are believed to be among the dead.

A CNN meteorologist believes this could be one of the most devastating tornado outbreaks in U.S. History. Alabama Governor Robert Bentley has been touring the damage.

President Barack Obama approved Bentley's request for federal assistance, so now the National Guard is going door-to-door to search for trapped survivors.
