Sunday August 8 Update:

Tiger Says it's no fun shooting 18 over.. I would love it!

That ND/MN tornado video was shot by Andy Gabrielson, check his site SevereStudios.com

Carbon Dioxide is NOT a Pollutant. Life on our Planet Thrives as thepercentage of CO2 in our atmosphere increases. Joe D'Aleo is the BestLong Range Forecaster in New England, please read his take on CO2 here.

Colin is now a depression, in turn, surfers here are more depressed.

  Back to Saturday post..
On Mount Washington NH the record low of 28 set in 1943 was justmissed with a low of 30 today, August 7, 2010. We are more fortunatethan many in the U.S. suffering this hot summer, this is the fourthCanadian Front since July 22nd. This refreshing air from Canada lastsinto early Sunday before the threat of showers and more heat andhumidity arrive later tomorrow and especially Monday. But then anotherfront from Canada brings less humid, but rather warm, air here laterTuesday into Wednesday. Thursday looks interesting with low pressure toour west, a warm front to our south, we may have chilly rain in part ofNew England before the serious heat and humidity return by next Sunday.
The big question for me and all New England surfers is, do we get aColin Groundswell? The Buoys off NC and VA are reporting 3'-4' swellevery 13 seconds. We would love some of that. More likely is a 1'-2'Groundswell.. that will do for Rhode Island, The Island's, and TheNational Seashore on Cape Cod. No sharks please.
Follow Tropical Storm Colin here. The latest conditions from Bermudahere. T.S. Colin should be just west of Bermuda early Sunday August 8,2010. Then about 800 miles east of Nantucket Monday.
