Scituate, Mass. Officials Most Concerned About Friday's High Tide

(NECN/Weather Channel: Eric Fisher) – We’re checking the conditions in Scituate, Mass. with the Weather Channel’s Eric Fisher.

Last winter’s was so quiet that you knew the hammer would fall eventually, Fisher says.

They said here in town that all the media and everybody needed to be in one spot to report on this because the last time around, people were getting into dangerous situations.

There’s expected to be a big impact on coastal roads.

Officials are most concerned about Friday’s high tide. There is a shelter open at the high school, urging all the residents in Scituate, at least three hours before high tide, to evacuate.

Fisher says the water should be as high, if not a little bit higher, than what we saw with the blizzard just a short while ago.
