Scituate, Mass. Town Officials Say People Still at Shelters, Downed Wires Remain Problem

(NECN: Scituate, Mass.) - Town officials in Scituate, Massachusetts say they are very fortunate that no lives were lost in the blizzard, which resulted in a couple of fires and extensive flooding.

Officials say some people are still in the shelter that has been set up at the high school.

Downed power lines should remain untouched -- and if residents see any, they should contact police or fire officials immediately.

The town is dealing with the most severe flooding since 1991.

A seawall in the Sand Hills section of town has been compromised.

Officials say they will be dealing with a severe financial situation, and will be seeking help.
