Sliders Make Most of Snowy Weather in New England

(NECN: Ally Donnelly, Amesbury, Mass.) - Lots of snow fell on the North Shore of Massachusetts Tuesday.

With many annoyed by the foul weather, some at the Amesbury Sports Park, one of the steepest tubing hills in New England, made the most of it.

People on the hill had a glass-half-full attitude.

"This is fantastic," said one woman. "We couldn't have asked for a better day for the tubing."

"There's just a lot of adrenaline," said one boy. "But it's fun."

Snow-makers say real snow actually slows the tubes down to about 20 miles per hour, whereas on a good day, they might go 40 miles per hour or more.
