Snow Emergency in Effect Across Boston



    Steady snow continues to slow travel across Boston (Published Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014)

    UPDATE (4:02 p.m.) - City of Boston will be lifting its snow emergency and parking ban at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday.

    (NECN: Nicole Jacobs, Boston) - A snow emergency is in effect across the city of Boston Wednesday. The snow is falling heavy and at a steady clip.

    Salt trucks and plows are out in full force treating the roads. There are over 580 pieces of equipment out on the roadways.

    "You just have to go with it when you live in New England," said one pedestrian of the winter weather.

    A parking ban is in effect citywide. Up to nine inches of snow is expected to fall throughout the day.
