Snowplows Sit Ready Alongside Planes at Logan Airport

(NECN: Greg Wayland, Boston, Mass.) - At Logan International Airport in Boston, Massachusetts, the plows sit ready alongside the planes today.

Officials are hoping to keep the runways open, and they are hoping to avoid a repeat of the travel mess that ensued with the last major snowstorm.

As for the major highways, huge piles of salt and sand now sit alongside the Massachusetts Turnpike and other roadways for crews to use tomorrow morning.
