Storm Hammers East Coast

(NECN: Jennifer Eagan) - The storm forced schools to close, canceled flights, and Congress even changed its schedule in anticipation of the storm.

In Washington,D.C., wind whipped wet snow on Capital Hill. It's been cold, but not quite cold enough to stick.

The storm has dumped more than a foot of snow in parts of Virginia and many have lost power. All over the East Coast, people are feeling the effects of the snow storm.

Thousands of flights have been canceled this week, including flights into and out of Boston's Logan Airport.

NECN's Jennifer Eagan has the complete story.
